We posted this elsewhere yesterday. A little peek at one corner of our album sleeve which we proofed this week. It looks lovely.
Well Leon finished the first full mix of the album last night and its sounding pretty special even if he does say so himself. Just needs a couple of tweaks before its packed off to Shelflife for mastering. We also have some amazing artwork from Andy Hart which we’re really, really pleased with.
Since our last post on here we’ve been confirmed as playing Going Up The Country in Congleton on 1st June and the Nottingham Pop Alldayer on 4th October. The line ups for both days are already fantastic. We’ll have news of more gigs shortly.
Last but not least, the preorders of Nobody’s Business have now shipped, but there are a few copies left if you haven’t already bought one. Its really rather good.
….work continues on our own album. I’m producing it in my home studio (if you can call a corner of the living room a studio) and so far its sounding great. The release is planned for Spring 2014, so it’ll be well cooked by then. Am so tempted to share a rough mix but think I’ll make you wait……Leon xxx
We’re dead chuffed to be on this compilation which kicks off Candy Twist Records. We’ve contributed the jangliest song from our live set called ‘Baby Its You’, and its the only place you will get it as its previously unreleased and won’t be appearing on anything else. But never mind that, check out the other songs - we’re in unbelievably good company. Click on the link below to go to bandcamp to stream the album, from where you can get to the Candy Twist website to preorder the LP.
We are currently working on an album to be released as soon as we pull our sodding fingers out and get it finished. We’re super, super chuffed that we will be releasing it on Shelflife Records. More details will follow when we get our arses in gear.
"The first release by Candy Twist Records will be a DIY pop compilation LP (yes, on vinyl!). It’ll be called ‘Nobody’s Business’, and will feature 12 new and exclusive songs by 12 great international bands:
Martha (UK), Lost Tapes (ES), Hobbes Fanclub (UK), Heathers (USA), Making Marks (NO), Cave Ghosts (IR), Young Romance (UK), The Fireworks (UK), Cassolette (USA), Colour Me Wednesday (UK), The Felt Tips (UK) and Liechtenstein (SWE).
Am I excited about this? Do you need to ask?
More details to follow. This release is planned for late Fall 2013.”
