Hellooo!!!

We just wanted to give you a little update on what we’re going to be up to this summer.

First up we have finished recording our new single for Shelflife Records and sent the songs off to be mastered. The artwork is done and we’re super excited about getting it released this summer. We are aiming for a June release and we’re dead chuffed with the songs, the A side is Your Doubting Heart with The One You Love on the flip. We are also planning to make a video for the single so watch this space.

Our first gig of the summer will be the Going Up The Country alldayer in Congleton, Cheshire on Saturday 2nd June. Going Up The Country is an indiepop day in aid of The Christie Cancer Charity. Live bands outdoors from 1pm -10-30pm. The School, Pocketbooks, The Hobbes Fanclub, A Fine Day For Sailing, The Proctors, A Little Orchestra, The Fireworks, Golden Glow, Tiny Birds. Totally acoustic performances from Gary Fulton, Emm Daniells and more. To finish the day DJ sets in the pub from Jamie ‘Kissing Just For Practice’ and Kev & Linda ‘Cherry Coloured Pop’ until 1-30am. Pretty good eh?

On Friday 29th June we will be hosting a hometown gig to warm up for Indietracks. We’ll be upstairs at No Hands at the Bradford Polish Club. More details and other bands to be confirmed. No Hands is a DIY monthly Alt-POP party with free music and dancing downstairs and bands upstairs for only a £4 donation.

Then on the weekend of 6th-8th July we are really excited to be playing at Indietracks which needs no introduction from us. Suffice to say we are so looking forward to amazing bands, trains, cracking local beers, delicious food and the friendliest crowd you’ll ever meet. The schedule hasn’t been announced yet so we don’t know what day we’re playing, but its going to be fantastic!! More details here: http://www.indietracks.co.uk/

On Sunday 26th August we’re going Pop-O-Matic! The Pop-O-Matic Sheffield Alldayer so far features us, Standard Fare, Colour Me Wednesday, The Sweet Nothings and more. Find out more details here http://anorakforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=5745

Lastly (so far) we will be rounding off the summer on Saturday 29th September at the 5th Nottingham Pop Alldayer featuring Shrag, Sock Puppets, Tigercats and more besides. Us on the 100 Club stage at London Popfest last week.

Link New single!

We’re also dead chuffed to be releasing our next single on Shelflife Records this summer. We’re recording in the next two weeks and will be producing it ourselves. It will be a 7” vinyl release with download voucher and you will also be able to buy the mp3s from the Shelflife website. The single should hopefully be out in June.

It will be the first recording featuring Louise and Adam. Not only that, we will be making our first video in time for the release, and I’ve already acquired a Super 8 camera to shoot it on.
